$ The William M. Lewis FundLewis Fund

The William M. Lewis fund honors the founding director of the Center (Biography Here) by recognizing one outstanding graduate student who exhibits the commitment and potential to achieve excellence in aquaculture research.  Students are nominated by their professors and peers, and each year one recipient is chosen.  The recipient receives a $1,000 check and has their name engraved on a plaque prominently displayed at CFAAS.  Contributions to this fund will allow us to award this fund in perpetuity.

$ Graduate Student Educational Support FundGrad Research

Donations to this fund will be awarded to students on a competitive basis to help fund research projects leading to a MS or Ph.D. award.  As funds become available, eligible students can apply for support by submitting a proposal and a budget.  This fund not only supports worthwhile research, but gives students additional opportunities to hone their gratsmanship.

$ SIU Research Aquarium Fund

Education LabAs part of the interdisciplinary research incubator at McLafferty Annex, CFAAS is constructing a state-of-the-art research laboratory (scheduled for completion in 2016).  The facility will support the research and educational missions of CFAAS and will include facilities to hold and raise both marine and freshwater organisms.  Contributions are sought for the 8,000 gallon Saluki Aquarium, which will be the centerpiece of the facility and will serve as a destination for students, visitors, staff, and faculty to study aquatic organisms and learn about our fragile aquatic world.

If you prefer to mail your check, please make this payable to the SIU Foundation and write "CFAAS" and the name of the fund in the memo line.
